Admission Overview

Applications are invited from candidates who wish to be considered for admission to the Creative Writing Academy (CWA).

It should be noted that selection of applicants will be based on a competitive cut-off point for the year.
Candidates awaiting results are eligible to apply.

The Certificate in Creative Writing Award is a one-year program, aimed at writers who wish to develop or polish their Creative Skills.

The program adopts an all-encompassing approach to the discipline of Writing, taking in various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, prose, poetry, and scriptwriting.
The academic year consists of three terms, commencing in September, with an additional start date in January each year.
Students may study Full-time, Part-time, or Online.
Distance Learning allows students to structure their learning around work and other circumstances.
Places are limited due to small class sizes.
Small class sizes enable lecturers to get to know and understand students. In addition, it allows students to express themselves while developing their skills, strengths, passions, and learning styles.
The program comprises wide reading, assignments, projects, critical thinking, and literary analysis to sharpen students’ skills.
