Professor Hajara L Daniel (Mrs)

Founder/Executive Director

Before setting up the Creative Writing Academy, Professor Hajara Daniel, an alumnus of the University of Yorkshire (United Kingdom) worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Emile Woolf College in London.

She is a lecturer, author, and playwright with over three decades of experience in education, the creative arts, and the corporate sector. Her published works (a collection of poems, short stories, novels, radio drama, stage plays, and screenplays) include Passage of Love, Cocoa’s Kisses and Other Poems, Kofi: Growing Pains, Reaching for the Stars – Education, Reaching for the Stars – Friends and Bullies, Amazing Grace and Other Short Stories, The Akans: Birth of Two Kingdoms, Sankofa Hills, Coconut Court, and Nokousa, selected for the Fourth Edition of the Ghana Theatre Festival and the Accra International Children’s Arts Festival (KIDDAFEST) 2017.

Professor Daniel has served on several committees, including the Bidding Committee for UNESCO World Book Capital (2017), the Committee for drafting a constitution for the National Platform for Literacy, Reading, and Numeracy (2018), and the GPA Accra World Book Capital Internal Committee (2023). Her goal is to cultivate a reading and writing culture that will excite, inspire, motivate, and ignite creative talent.

Mr. Eric Kemeh

Mr Kemeh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana and a MSc in Information Technology from the Open University of Malaysia.

He is a Principal ICT assistant and E-learning Administrator at the University of Ghana and has over 10 years’ practical professional experience in Information Technology (IT) and Information System (IS) and a Board Member of the University of Ghana Credit Union.

Mr. Kweku Daniel

Mr Daniel studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Greenwich (UK). He is an avid writer and a youth counsellor.

Epifania Amoo-Adare

Dr. Epifania Akosua Amoo-Adare is an independent scholar and development professional with post-disciplinary interests in diverse topics such as creative writing, critical pedagogy, decolonial thinking, epistemology, feminism(s), spirituality, spatial theories, and urbanization.

She has a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA and is a RIBA part II qualified architect with 25+ years of experience working within the fields of education, international development, and social housing in countries like Afghanistan, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Director – Business and Financial Skills

DR Joseph P. Eshun, Jnr

Dr. Joseph P. Eshun, Jnr. is a business sociologist and entrepreneur with extensive academic background and professional experience. He has worked as Operations Officer at the European headquarters of Music Television (MTV) in London, England, Director of the Accelerated Degree Program in Business Administration at Muhlenberg College, and as Associate Professor of Business Management at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. His eclectic research, spanning several disciplinary domains in entrepreneurship, management of organizations, and strategic management includes and is not limited to human resources management and innovation where he integrates knowledge from these disciplines to inform and guide his understanding of institutions and the emergence of new organizational forms and practices. Dr. Eshun, Jnr. holds a B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in Electronic Engineering, M.S degree in Management and Policy Analysis, and an M.Phil. and PhD from Columbia University.
